The Journey for Dr Jay Mehta in healthcare started in the year 2005 after securing admission in the prestigious Seth GS Medical  College and KEM Hospital. As majority of the fellow practitioners would know, he was actively involved in extracurricular activities during the entire curriculum and was widely regarded as an average academic student. 

After completing his MBBS, Dr. Jay Mehta pursued his Postgraduate Studies in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala. This is where he achieved academic excellence by getting awarded the best young gynaecologist of Kerala for two years consecutively, and he also developed a significant skill set that was required to perform minimally invasive surgery by winning competitions across Europe, as far as Endosuturing is concerned.  

At the very end of this post-graduation, Dr. Jay Mehta also got awarded a small fellowship in robotic surgery from the USA, as well as a fellowship in endometriosis excision surgery from Austria under Professor Joerg Keckstein. This was the entire foundation basis for starting the entire private practice in Mumbai. 

Hailing from a completely non-medical background, and with extremely limited support from colleagues, without any godfather. 

Dr. Jay Mehta entered the world of private practice in the year 2015. Without the backup of any single corporate attachment, being only 27 years old now, it was pretty obvious that the corporation would only give him the post of a junior consultant; however, in private practice right from the first year, he excelled in doing complicated surgeries as well as giving out ethical medical opinions.

Building a Legacy in Private Practice

Perspective of practice then exploded exponentially from the year 2019, because by then his skill set for surgery became no across the country, especially for performing radical surgery for Deep endometriosis, along with Bowel Resections, along advanced Fistula surgeries.  

It is at the end of this year that Dr Jay Mehta set up his project, Pelvis Group, on Facebook for, demonstration of live surgeries for his colleagues, free of cost across the country.
