Difference Between PCOS & PCOD
PCOS and PCOD are both disorders that can cause a woman to have irregular periods, trouble getting pregnant, and excess hair growth.
However, there are some key differences between the two conditions.
PCOS is a hormonal condition that causes the ovaries to produce too much testosterone. This can lead to the development of small cysts on the ovaries, as well as symptoms like weight gain, thinning hair, and acne.
PCOD also causes the ovaries to produce too much testosterone, it is not a hormone disorder. Instead, it is caused by a buildup of fluid in the ovaries. This can also lead to the development of cysts, but the symptoms are typically less severe than those seen in PCOS.
As a result, women with PCOD are more likely to be able to get pregnant than women with PCOS.
