Quite a lot of time doctors prescribe antioxidants in varying combinations, which might improve general sperm parameters. They do help in becoming pregnant only if low sperm count is due to an idiopathic cause which means the cause of mild oligospermia is unknown. It’s not recommended to give antioxidant tablets as a low sperm count treatment to all patients. As they are not going to benefit all the patients.

A variety of other combinations, especially letrozole and oral testosterone, benefit from improving the sperm parameters. 20-25% of patients benefit from these combinations and may bear a child.
