Does anyone else with adenomyosis feel like their uterus just never fully settles down?

I was diagnosed with adenomyosis after years of thinking my heavy periods were just bad luck. I can soak through a pad every 1.5 to 2 hrs, pass large clots and my haemoglobin has dropped below 10 more than once because of it. Does anyone else have symptoms even when they're not on their period?

Yep 🙁 My bleeding was horrible during my periods too, but what surprised me was how many symptoms stayed even after they ended. I still had this constant pelvic heaviness, lower back pain, bloating that made my clothes feel tight and this dull ache that would randomly flare up. The fatigue never really left either, especially after heavy cycles. It honestly made me realise adenomyosis isn't just about the periods, the inflammation can make you feel awful throughout the month too.

Yes, after being diagnose with adenomyosis, there is often a constant feeling of heaviness or discomfort in the uterus. It can feel like the uterus never completely settle down, even between periods. Many women with adenomyosis describe a similar experience.

I feel this too. My period ends, but it still doesn't feel like my uterus has settled. Some days it's just this heavy, achy feeling and other days I barely notice it. It's strange because you expect to feel normal again once your period is over, but that doesn't always happen.

Indeed, most women who suffer from adenomyosis claim that they feel like their uterus is never able to "calm down". Along with very heavy menstrual flow, adenomyosis can be accompanied by constant pelvic pressure, cramps, pain, bloating, and a feeling of fullness regardless of whether there are menstrual days or not. This occurs due to the fact that the lining tissue in the uterus grows in its muscular walls, which causes continuous irritation and swelling. However, it is important to note that the symptoms can change depending on the time of the month, though for some women the feeling of pain may persist all the time.
