Yes, I also experienced breast tenderness during the wait after embryo transfer. It can happen because of progesterone and other medicines used during the IVF process, so I didn’t take it as a definite sign of pregnancy.

Sore breasts hit me hard the week after transfer and I genuinely couldnt tell if it was the progesterone or an actual sign! Mine were tender enough that even my bra felt annoying by evening, mostly from the meds I think since it stuck around the whole two week wait not just for a couple days. From what ive seen it can honestly be both, progesterone alone causes it for a lot of people but implantation can add to it too, theres no clean way to tell them apart while youre in it! Try not to spiral over it either way, I had it bad one cycle that failed and barely noticed it the cycle that actually worked.

Ugh yes, the symptom spotting during the wait is SO hard 😅 I had the same thing and kept wondering if every little change meant something. From what I understood, progesterone can definitely cause sore/tender breasts too, so it’s really hard to tell from that symptom alone. The waiting really messes with your head!

Breast tenderness after an embryo transfer is quite common and is often caused by progesterone or other fertility medications. It can also occur in early pregnancy, but breast soreness alone cannot confirm implantation. The pregnancy test recommended by your fertility clinic is the most reliable way to know. ❤️

I remember the breast tenderness being so confusing after transfer because you can’t tell if it’s the progesterone or something else. It felt very real, but I still had no idea what to make of it. Did yours start straight after the transfer or a few days later?
