Would it be okay to continue taking my usual multivitamins during an IVF cycle, or should I stop them once the stimulation starts?
In my opinion, I would ask my fertility specialist about my usual multivitamins when undergoing the process of IVF. Not all vitamins should be taken, the dosages and composition is very important, especially for vitamins A and herbs. It is best to discuss everything with my fertility specialist before making any decision to stop or continue anything.
From what I know, during IVF it's really important not to stop or start any vitamins or medicines on your own. Even things like folic acid, vitamin A, D, B12, iron, herbs or other supplements depend on your reports and your fertility specialist's plan. It's always better to discuss every supplement with your doctor before making any changes.
Don't stop your usual multivitamins on your own once stimulation starts. Just check with your fertility specialist, as they'll tell you what to continue or stop during your IVF cycle.
Hey I'd say always double check with ur own doctor on this one since IVF meds n multivitamins can interact in ways we don't realise. When I was doing my cycles I just stuck to whatever my clinic told me to continue or stop, some vitamins were totally fine but a couple got paused during stims. Better to ask than to just assume it's safe, this stuff is too important to guess on!
