egg freezing is often considered by women who want to preserve fertility for the future 😅 like those with endo, low ovarian reserve, cancer treatment plans or people delaying pregnancy. The process usually involves hormone injections to stimulate the ovaries, monitoring with scans/bloodwork, then a short procedure where the eggs are collected and frozen 😣

I've never been through egg freezing myself, but i did look into it because of my endometriosis. From what i understood, they first stimulate the ovaries with injections, then collect the eggs through a short procedure and freeze the mature ones for later use. Has anyone here actually done it? I'd love to know how the process felt in real life.

The eggs are monitored with ultrasound and blood tests, then retrieved through a minor transvaginal procedure under sedation. Mature eggs are frozen using a rapid freezing technique called vitrification and stored until they are needed. When the woman is ready to conceive, the eggs are thawed, fertilized with sperm in the laboratory through IVF, and the resulting embryo is transferred into the uterus.
