I did. I was on it for a few months after surgery and one thing I noticed after coming off was that it became easier to tell which symptoms had genuinely improved and which ones had just been masked by the medication. Some of my pelvic pain and nerve-type symptoms definitely felt more noticeable again. Curious if your pain feels like your old pre-surgery pain returning, or more like nerve pain specifically?

I've seen others mention pain becoming more noticeable after stopping Lyrica. Hopefully it's temporary, but it's worth mentioning it to your doctor if it keeps happening. Hope you feel better soon. 💛

The choice of medicine depends on the severity of symptoms and whether pregnancy is desired. Gynaecologists commonly prescribe NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or naproxen for pain relief, along with hormonal treatments like combined oral contraceptive pills, progestins (e.g., dienogest), hormonal IUDs, or GnRH agonists/antagonists to reduce endometriosis-related pain. Treatment should always be individualized and taken under a gynaecologist's guidance.

My mother was prescribed pregabalin after her endometriosis surgery and took it for about three months. When she gradually stopped it, she noticed some of her pain coming back, especially around her periods. Her doctor explained that the medicine helps control nerve pain, but it doesn't prevent the underlying condition from recurring. After a follow-up visit, her treatment was adjusted, and her symptoms improved. If you're experiencing the same thing, it's a good idea to discuss it with your doctor rather than stopping or restarting the medication on your own.

I've been wondering about this too. I'm a few months post op as well, and my doctor has me on Pregabalin for nerve pain. Part of me is worried that once I stop it, I won't know whether any pain that comes back is just my nerves readjusting, the medication wearing off, or the endometriosis itself. I'd really like to hear from people who've come off Pregabalin after surgery. Did your pain stay under control, or did you notice symptoms returning after stopping it?
