How long is the recovery from laparoscopic endometriosis?
I was surprised by how long recovery actually took after my laparoscopy. The cuts looked tiny and I kept thinking I should be feeling normal already, but the tiredness and that deep internal soreness stayed for quite a while. I think I started feeling properly like myself again somewhere around 6 to 8 weeks, but it really depends on how much excision was done.
Honestly, recovery was harder emotionally than I expected The first few days were rough, and I kept wondering when I’d feel normal again. It slowly got better.
Lap recovery is one of those things everyone experiences so differently lol. Not something ive personally been thru since mine's adeno n managed diff, but ive seen ppl say the first few days are the roughest n then it gets easier week by week, some back to light work in a week n others needing closer to a month depending on what all was done. Hope someone with actual surgery experience can give u a timeline that matches ur situation more closely 🙏
Recovery really depends on how extensive the endometriosis surgery was. I was expecting to bounce back pretty quickly, but the tiredness and soreness lasted longer than I thought, especially after the first couple of weeks. I’d say give yourself more time than the minimum the surgeon mentions because everyone seems to recover so differently. Was yours just diagnostic or are they planning to remove the endo too?
