I know this feeling! My adenomyosis bloating used to make dressing up for functions so uncomfortable, especially in fitted kurtas, sarees with tight waistbands or even jeans. I started choosing flowy anarkalis, loose cotton kurtas and sarees draped a little more comfortably, along with taking small breaks when needed. Please don’t stop attending weddings, u deserve to enjoy them too! 🙂

I get this so much :/ Even when I dress up and feel nice, the bloating can completely ruin my mood because suddenly nothing sits the way it did when I left home. I’ve started getting anxious before longer functions because I know my stomach can swell up badly after a few hours. Does yours go down soon after you get home or does it stay for quite a while?

I used to get so excited to wear a nice saree or kurti then the bloated belly would hit. Suddenly everything felt tight and uncomfortable and I’d just feel so self conscious the whole time.

I’ve started carrying a light dupatta or shawl for functions because sometimes the bloating comes on suddenly and I feel so self-conscious. It sounds like a small thing, but having something I can drape around myself makes me feel a little more comfortable.

Happened so many times. I’ll be all excited to wear a nice saree or kurta, then the bloating starts and suddenly I’m just uncomfortable the whole time. These days I usually go for something a bit loose, especially for longer functions.
