I am considering trying IUI & feeling a little unsure about what the whole process actually looks like. How many days does an IUI cycle usually take, from the start of the period to the procedure & then the waiting period for the pregnancy test? Also, how often do u need to visit the clinic during the cycle? I would really appreciate hearing about ur experiences, especially from anyone who has gone through IUI recently.
I actually found the monitoring part more annoying than the IUI itself lol. My cycle had a couple of scans and bloodwork to keep an eye on the follicles, then the insemination itself was pretty quick. After that it was basically the longest 2 weeks ever while waiting to test 😅 The exact number of clinic visits can vary though, especially depending on whether youre doing a natural cycle or medication.
